c3600 Georgetown Lofts
The c3600 Georgetown lofts – the largest cargotecture building on the west coast (to date). The Georgetown lofts are composed as two 3600 commercial spaces across the street from the Seattle Design Center in the industrial Georgetown neighborhood. Cargo containers were used as structural building blocks with pre-engineered steel trusses spanning the gap between. By designing the project as two smaller structures as opposed to a single large one, the projects eliminated the need for an elevator, sprinklers or structured parking, thus greatly reducing costs.
